Abakira Size Chart & Guide ("the App", "we", "us") is a Shopify app operated by Abakira LLC. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices. Contact: support@abakira.com.
1. Data we collect
When you install the App on your Shopify store, we access and store:
- Store identifier and session data: your
myshopify.com domain and the OAuth access token Shopify issues, used to authenticate the App.
- Store owner contact: your store email address (from the Shopify Shop resource), used for essential service communication.
- Content you create in the App: size charts (names, columns, rows, units, translations) and their assignments to products or collections (product/collection IDs and titles).
- App usage and setup events: actions such as creating or assigning a chart, completing storefront setup, plan state, and feature usage. These events help us improve onboarding and reliability and do not include shopper personal information.
- Email preferences: whether and when you opted in to Abakira product updates, the consent wording version, and your unsubscribe status.
- Support conversations: if you start a chat with us from inside the App, the messages you send and the technical metadata your browser provides to our chat provider (see section 3).
We do not collect or store your customers' (shoppers') personal information. When a shopper opens a size chart on your storefront, the App receives only the product ID, collection IDs, and the store locale — no names, emails, or order data.
2. How we use data
- To provide the App's functionality (store, display, and translate your size charts; show the correct chart per product/collection/locale).
- To authenticate requests and operate the service securely.
- To send essential, transactional communications (e.g., billing, service notices). Any non-essential/marketing email is opt-in and includes an unsubscribe link.
- To understand app activation, diagnose failures, improve the product, and provide support.
3. Data sharing & sub-processors
We do not sell your data. We share it only with infrastructure providers strictly needed to run the App:
- Hosting: Vercel Inc. (application hosting).
- Database: Neon Inc. (managed Postgres — stores your charts and assignments).
- Support chat: Tawk.to Inc. (live chat inside the Shopify admin). The chat widget is loaded only in the merchant admin, never on a storefront: it never runs on your product pages and your shoppers never encounter it. Tawk.to sees only what you, the merchant, choose to write to us, plus standard chat metadata (browser, approximate location, page visited within the App).
- Shopify: the platform the App runs on.
4. Data retention & deletion
We retain your data while the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, we delete your store profile, charts, assignments, app usage events, email preferences, and session data (handled via Shopify's app/uninstalled webhook). You may also request deletion at any time by emailing support@abakira.com. We comply with Shopify's mandatory customers/redact, customers/data_request, and shop/redact GDPR webhooks; since we store no shopper personal data, customer-redact requests return no personal data.
5. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting support@abakira.com. If you are in the EEA/UK or California, you have rights under GDPR/CCPA; we honor these requests.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access tokens are stored securely and used only to serve your store.

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
